We are looking for a Regional Director to lead our Tennessee and Mississippi markets! This is an opportunity for a hands-on leader who knows how to grow a business, build strong teams, and develop people who deliver results.

You'll be responsible for the strategy, sales growth, and operational performance of the market. You'll spend time in the field working alongside your teams, building client relationships, developing new business, and making sure each market has what it needs to succeed. At Openwork, we believe great leaders build great teams. Grow the Business

• Own the growth strategy for your region. Know your markets, competitors, key prospects, and opportunities, and build a plan to win.
• Build and strengthen client relationships, retain existing business, and identify opportunities to grow accounts and develop new partnerships.
• Get in the field with your teams each week to meet with clients, develop relationships, and drive new business.
• Partner with Market Managers and Operations leaders to build strong sales, recruiting, and marketing strategies that help each market deliver.
• Make sure teams have the right recruiting strategies and talent pipelines in place to meet client needs and support growth.

Own the Results

• Own the regional P&L, KPIs, and collections, with accountability for financial performance and growth.
• Set clear goals, review performance regularly, and use data to identify opportunities, solve problems, and hold teams accountable.
• Make smart decisions about resources and staffing across markets based on client demand and business priorities.
• Support new client implementations and ensure teams deliver on client commitments.
• Maintain compliance with client agreements and company requirements, including background checks, drug screens, and I-9/E-Verify.
• Partner with teams to improve safety, manage workers' compensation, reduce risk, and strengthen operational processes.
• Drive consistency across markets through clear processes, training, and continuous improvement.

Lead and Develop People

• Set clear expectations and goals, and create a consistent rhythm of weekly performance meetings, one-on-ones, and quarterly goal reviews.
• Coach and develop Market Managers and other leaders to take ownership, make decisions, and deliver results.
• Identify high performers, build individualized development plans, and create opportunities for people to grow their careers at Openwork.
• Build a strong leadership bench by developing internal talent, identifying future leaders, and planning for succession.
• Stay connected to the talent pipeline by interviewing 4–6 leadership candidates each quarter.
• Address performance concerns directly, provide honest feedback, and work through escalated employee relations matters.
• Lead change by communicating the why, setting clear priorities, and partnering across teams to bring new initiatives to life.

• 8+ years of multi-site leadership experience in staffing, workforce solutions, or a related B2B services industry
• A track record of P&L ownership and of growing revenue and margin
• Proven success in business development and key account management
• Experience leading leaders, with a strong history of developing and promoting people
• Comfort with data, dashboards, and KPI-driven management
• Working knowledge of employment compliance (I-9/E-Verify, background and drug screening, workers' comp)
• Ability to travel across Tennessee and Mississippi markets weekly
