Job Description Job Description Job Description Layout and fit-up with minimal supervision Reading and interpreting blueprints, including weld symbols Calibrating/setting welding machines GMAW welding of Aluminum may be required up to and including 3/16? thickness. Ability to read engineering drawings to determine weld size requirements. Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and/or moving of 100 pounds and over, with frequent lifting and/or carrying odd shaped objects weighing up to 75 pounds, and up to 50 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Ability to comprehend additional training in relation to the performing of the work duties. Work Experience Experience in reading blueprints (including weld symbols) Experience working in a manufacturing or production-type environment This is NOT a role for Pipe Fitters, Only structural I-beam Fitters should apply Responsibilities: - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of welding and fitting work - Measure and mark materials for welding and fitting - Set up and operate welding equipment to weld and fit metal components - Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions - Inspect welds for accuracy and quality - Clean and maintain welding equipment Skills: - Proficient in various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, Flux and Stick welding - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications - Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision - Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties - Familiarity with welding safety procedures and practices - Ability to work independently or as part of a team - Welding certification is a plus.
