Registered Nurse School Setting - Pomona, CA

Your caseload will focus on General Education 8th graders as well as students in Special Education, ensuring a nurturing and healthy environment for all. This role is perfect for experienced school nurses who are proactive, independent, and passionate about student well-being.


Desired Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Prior school nursing experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to perform vision, hearing, and scoliosis screenings independently
• Experience working with both general education and special education students
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Self-motivation and the ability to work without onsite training or direct supervision

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct mandated health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis)
• Provide general nurse duties, including first aid, medication administration, and care for acute or chronic conditions during school hours
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with state and district regulations
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to promote student health and safety
