Industrial Electrician

Our client is seeking Industrial Electrician to support electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation across a large, safety‑sensitive production environment. This role supports sitewide crews and ensures reliable operation of critical equipment including motors, drives, PLC panels, pumps, generators, hoisting systems, and crushing equipment. The site is located within driving distance of the Thousand Islands, Lake Ontario shoreline, the Adirondack Mountains, and major Canadian cities such as Ottawa and Montreal. Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance Responsibilities Read and interpret electrical prints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Complete electrical terminations and splicing, including high‑voltage splicing. Support production by working with multiple site crews to maintain electrical reliability across the facility. Perform all work in accordance with safety‑sensitive requirements, including LOTO and site safety procedures. Perform circuit testing, fault‑finding, and troubleshooting on motors, VFDs, controllers, and distribution equipment. Install and run cable, wire, and communication lines; mechanically mount junction boxes, control boxes, and switch boxes. Develop working knowledge of hoisting and crushing operations and assist with troubleshooting related electrical systems. Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical components including PLC panels, drives/VFDs, motors, pumps, fans, transformers, and generators. Work with a range of electrical systems including 4–20 mA instrumentation, AC up to 480V, DC systems, and medium‑voltage equipment (e.g., 4,160V and 13.8kV). Qualifications (Must-Haves) All education levels considered. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Experience performing terminations and high‑voltage splicing. Hands‑on experience with PLCs, including troubleshooting and panel work. Ability to perform safety‑sensitive work without posing a direct threat to self or others. Strong working knowledge of AC/DC systems, drives/VFDs, and industrial motor control. Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and perform accurate testing and diagnostics. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and components. Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical experience in heavy industrial, mining, utilities, power generation, manufacturing, or similar environments. Preferred Skills Experience in mining, mineral processing, or other remote/24‑7 industrial operations. Vocational training, apprenticeship completion, or journeyman‑level electrical background. Familiarity with hoisting systems, crushing operations, MCCs, and medium‑voltage distribution equipment. Work Environment Full‑time onsite role in a heavy‑industrial mining environment. Safety‑sensitive position requiring adherence to all site safety standards. Requires working around production equipment, elevated noise, and varying environmental conditions.
