\nJob Duties
\n \nDirects and supervises support staff of Geisinger. Assures that patients are treated with concern and that providers are provided with prompt and courteous service.
\n \nThis role is full-time, 40 hours weekly; 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
\n \nA minimum of 1 year LPN work experience is required.

Job Duties:
\n- \n
- Supervises all support staff. \n
- Participates in recruitment, interview and selection process of nurses and support staff. \n
- Coordinates training and orientation programs for the nursing and other clinical staff. \n
- Assesses ongoing training needs. \n
- Schedules employees and manages resources on a daily basis. \n
- Serves as a resource to answer questions and resolve problems. \n
- Plans and conducts in-service and other informational meetings with employees. \n
- Encourages and coordinates continuing education for self and staff. \n
- Monitors performance and provides feedback. \n
- Conducts performance appraisals. \n
- Evaluates job competencies. \n
- Addresses performance problems, initiating the discipline process if required. \n
- Intercedes on behalf of assigned personnel when problems are encountered with physicians, patients, or other clinic personnel. \n
- Assists with budget. \n
- Obtains necessary approvals and administers approved budget. \n
- Develops and maintains policies and procedures for assigned area. \n
- Assures adherence to regulatory agency requirements, safety standards, and infection control procedures. \n
- Evaluates operations and recommends and implements changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. \n
- Responsible for staffing plans. \n
- Monitors, evaluates, and revises as appropriate. \n
- Coordinates purchasing activity, including but not limited to, monitoring inventory and supervising the ordering of items as needed. \n
- Coordinates activities with other sections and departments. \n
- Acts as a liaison with other groups, both internal and external entities. \n
- Prepares and monitors all required monthly reports. \n
- Provides clerical, clinical or diagnostic support services to patients or providers. \n
