This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience. The unit is a 19-bed baby-friendly LDRP facility with one designated room for triage. The charge nurse is responsible for triaging incoming labor patients as necessary. Staffing ratios are 1:2, ensuring adequate patient care. Candidates must be willing to work every other weekend and on holidays as required. Call requirements will also apply. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. Candidates must be willing to live at least 50 miles away from the facility. Scrub colors will be provided. All travelers are expected to have Cerner charting experience. Additional qualifications include the ability to perform various clinical skills such as administration of blood products, assisting with vaginal deliveries, and providing lactation support. The role includes teaching parents about newborn care and assisting with high-risk deliveries. Interdisciplinary support is available from various services.
