About the Role:

A nationally recognized personal injury law firm is seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney to join its growing litigation team in Indiana. Founded in 2003, the firm has recovered more than $1 billion for property damage and personal injury clients nationwide and has nearly 100 attorneys across more than 30 offices throughout the Central and Southeastern United States.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 3 5 years of personal injury litigation experience who is looking to take ownership of cases, work directly with clients, and develop strong litigation and negotiation skills. The successful candidate will evaluate claims, communicate with clients and insurance companies, negotiate settlements, and prepare matters for trial when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage personal injury litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution.
• Meet with clients to understand their cases, provide legal guidance, and establish strong professional relationships.
• Evaluate liability, damages, insurance coverage, and overall claim value.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, claims, demands, settlement offers, and litigation strategy.
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding claims, demands, negotiations, and settlement offers.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, settlement demands, and other legal documents.
• Manage discovery and participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.
• Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial proceedings when required.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and other parties.
• Develop practical litigation strategies designed to maximize client recovery.
• Maintain accurate case files and meet all applicable deadlines and procedural requirements.
• Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys to effectively manage caseloads.
• Provide compassionate and responsive client service throughout the litigation process.
• Identify potential issues and proactively develop solutions to move cases toward resolution.

Required Qualifications:

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• 3 5 years of personal injury litigation experience.
• Active membership in good standing with the Indiana Bar.
• Experience handling personal injury cases through litigation.
• Strong understanding of claim evaluation, liability, damages, and insurance issues.
• Experience with discovery, motion practice, negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to effectively advocate for clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong client relationship and case management abilities.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and case strategy.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
