Global Development Lead, Internal Medicine (MD, Sr. Director)

Pfizer seeks a senior clinical physician to lead global development of internal medicine assets. This role requires accountability for clinical development strategy, cross-functional team leadership, and regulatory submissions for assigned therapeutic programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional clinical development team across clinical, pharmacology, statistics, and operations functions
• Create and secure endorsement for clinical development plans and associated protocol design documents
• Design, execute, and interpret clinical trials supporting worldwide regulatory submissions
• Develop submission deliverables including safety updates, clinical overviews, and regulatory documents
• Engage external stakeholders including advisory boards, DMCs, and patient advocates to inform development strategy

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Endocrinologist or internal medicine physician with cardiometabolic late-stage development experience
• 8+ years clinical research and development in academia or biopharmaceutical industry
• Knowledge of clinical development, global regulation, ICH/GCP, and adverse event management
• Demonstrated clinical, administrative, and project management capabilities
• Experience managing and training large clinical development teams
