Pediatric Echocardiographer Technician II

Job Overview Fairview Health Services is hiring a pediatric echocardiographer technician II to join our team at our M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital location in Minneapolis, MN. The Echocardiographer performs non-invasive cardiac diagnostic imaging using ultrasound technology to aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases. As a Pediatric Echocardiographer, you will need to evaluate pediatric patients with complex congenital heart disease and possess basic knowledge of the incidence, causes, inheritance patterns, and pathologic consequences of congenital malformations, as well as the three major categories of corrective procedures and their variations. Schedule This position will work 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every two weeks, with 8‑hour day shifts and a weekend rotation as needed. Job Expectations Demonstrate the ability to evaluate cardiac status using a logical, systematic approach to analyze the heart and related structures segmentally. Evaluate pediatric patients with complex congenital heart disease Provide relevant echocardiographic data, make quantitative calculations, and communicate impressions to physicians Accurately document a preliminary echocardiogram report Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the incidence, causes, inheritance patterns, and pathologic consequences of congenital malformations Organization Expectations, As Applicable Provide care or service that adjusts approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of the population served Partner with patient caregiver in care/decision making Communicate respectfully Ensure a safe, secure environment Individualize plan of care to meet patient needs Modify clinical interventions based on population served Provide patient education based on assessment of learning needs of patient and caregiver Fulfills all organizational requirements. Complete all required learning relevant to the role Comply with and maintain knowledge of all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards Foster a culture of improvement, efficiency, and innovative thinking. Perform other duties as assigned.
