Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)

The Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit will provide comprehensive care for patients experiencing labor, including those with preterm labor. The role involves circulating in obstetric gynecology, managing post-operative and pre-operative care, and caring for low-risk antepartum and labor delivery patients. The nurse will also participate in special procedures such as blood administration and provide support during all deliveries, including high-risk cases.

• Administer medications and IV fluids including blood and blood products.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and perform triage for obstetrical patients.
• Manage epidural anesthesia and PCA pumps.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to emergencies, including cardioversion and defibrillation.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding their care.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Epic experience is required.
• Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS (preferred).
• Active compact nursing license.
• Prior charge experience is beneficial.
