About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial & Administrative Officer (CFAO) to play a pivotal role in the organization's mission. The CFAO will be responsible for elevating the Finance and Administration function, ensuring strong financial controls, and maintaining the integrity of federal and state financial aid stewardship. This senior executive will lead a team of approximately 150 staff, setting the vision and performance expectations for the function, and will be deeply involved in financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting. The role demands a leader who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on involvement, particularly during close, forecasting, and audit cycles. The ideal candidate for the CFAO position at the company will have a minimum of 10 years' progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in postsecondary financial management, particularly with federal Title IV financial aid, is essential. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in strengthening finance operations, and team capability, and will be adept at financial planning and performance management. Key responsibilities include maintaining compliance with GAAP and FASB standards, leading external audits, and providing executive-level oversight of financial aid compliance. The CFAO will also be involved in IT strategy, cybersecurity, and facilities management, and will integrate the strategy function once the Director of Strategy is hired.
