• Average Patient Volume: 15-20 patients per 10-hour shift
• Shared-visit model with attending physician support

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat adult emergency department patients
• Manage lower-acuity emergency medicine cases
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with attending physicians in a shared-visit care model
• Document patient encounters accurately using Epic EMR
• Provide timely and efficient patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and quality standards
• Participate in holiday coverage as needed

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner certification
• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
• Active Massachusetts license required
• BLS certification required
• DEA registration required
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to work independently with minimal orientation
• Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills

Working Hours

Preferred Scheduling:

• Full-time coverage preferred
• Ideal schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift

Additional scheduling options considered:

• 3 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift
• Minimum of 2 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift
• Providers available for 3 eight-hour shifts for two weeks per month may also be considered

Shift Times:

• Preferred shift: 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Additional coverage may include flexible evening/night shifts
• No call responsibilities
