Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Monday to Friday Job Description The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide quality nursing care to all patients while serving as an integral member of the nursing staff. The candidate will respect patient rights and dignity, ensuring all patients receive appropriate care from birth to elderly. Responsibilities will vary depending on assigned areas and may include working in conjunction with Health Aides to ensure rooms are stocked and check-lists are completed, as well as assisting in ordering medical supplies. The LPN may be requested to screen calls over the phone and assist mid-level practitioners in the clinic after hours. Responsibilities Provide quality nursing care to patients while respecting their rights and dignity. Collaborate with Health Aides and ensure proper stocking and maintenance of patient care areas. Assist in ordering medical supplies as needed. Screen calls and provide assistance to mid-level staff as requested. Apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity in patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Graduate from an accredited LPN program and licensed as an LPN in the State of Alaska in good standing. New graduates are welcome; one year of hospital experience preferred. Current CPR certification (BCLS) required. IV certification course preferred. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to work in a patient care setting required. Why ARMStaffing?
