Operations Coordinator

Position Purpose The Operations Coordinator at SRS Building Products is responsible for managing daily warehouse operations, ensuring swift and accurate execution of work orders, and enhancing customer satisfaction by addressing complaints and supporting delivery requirements. The role coordinates inventory management with the Branch Manager using Agility software, prevents duplicate orders, oversees dispatch and logistics of delivery vehicles, and supports the branch’s operational objectives. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage daily warehouse operations to optimize efficiency and client satisfaction. Resolve incoming customer complaints swiftly and courteously, owning issues and engaging warehouse personnel and delivery teams as needed. Supervise and facilitate accurate loading and unloading of orders for vendors and customers, ensuring adherence to company standards for promptness and accuracy. Utilize On Demand routing software to dispatch trucks, guaranteeing timely and precise delivery to customer worksites. Use Agility software to track and report stock levels, providing data‑driven insights to the Branch Manager to prevent duplicate orders. Conduct inventory management activities, including purchasing, weekly cycle counts, and resolution of damaged or outdated stock. Implement order processing and day‑end balancing procedures to support seamless branch operations. Foster superior customer service and company representation while managing internal processes to enhance customer relations. Direct Manager The Operations Coordinator reports directly to the Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager. This position carries no direct supervisory responsibilities. Travel Requirements Occasional travel to regional branches for inventory audits, supplier meetings, and operational assessments. Physical Requirements Work requires a combination of office tasks and physical exertion typical of a warehouse environment, including standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and occasional use of ladders and other equipment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with advanced warehouse management systems. Track record of implementing process improvements in warehouse settings. Experience leading cross‑functional teams in warehouse environments. Mentoring and developing team members. Customer relationship management strategy experience. Experience resolving high‑pressure customer interactions with negotiation skills. Advanced analytical tools and software beyond basic Office Suite. Inventory forecasting using statistical techniques. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations for warehouse operations. Occupational safety and health certification advantageous. Strategic planning experience and vendor relationship management. Strong communication skills for presenting operational concepts. Minimum Education A high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Minimum Years of Work Experience 1–2 years of related experience or training, or equivalent education and experience combination.
