About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of current acute care experience required License: Active RN license in state of practice Certifications: BLS, NIHSS (can be obtained after offered), ACLS preferred Must-Have: Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date. Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month. Travelers requesting time off during any holiday or holiday week will not be accommodated. Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients on a telemetry unit. Experience with charting systems, preferably Cerner, is required. The patient ratio will be 1-6, or 1-12 with team nursing. Floating may occur in accordance with floating policies based on clinical experience. Travelers must address any holiday requests directly with management upon arrival onsite. Some of the patient diagnoses may require specialized procedures within the unit. Interdisciplinary support will include physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The daily census for the unit will involve caring for a significant number of patients. All required certifications must be current and not expire within 45 days of the start date. Candidates should start working on renewals if they are approaching expiration.
