Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist – Part Time This role is truly part-time, with most shifts lasting 4 to 6 hours per day, 3 or more days per week. We confirm availability and shift days early in the interview process. You will be informed in advance of any schedule changes, and reliability during scheduled hours is highly valued. About The Role Every day, you will meet donors and help collect high-quality plasma that becomes life‑changing medicines. The work requires commitment to customer service and quality. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and operate as a plasma donor screener and phlebotomist. How You Will Contribute Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor. Perform venipuncture of donors and programming of the plasmapheresis machine. Monitor donors during the donation process and manage donor reactions. Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment within training scope. Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on the plasmapheresis machines. Stock supplies, break down empty cartons, and assist with proper disposal. Take and record donor pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and other donor measures, including hematocrit, total protein, and weight. Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS). Coordinate donors to the donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system. Support the center management team in identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement through 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen. What You Bring To Takeda High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift. Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees. Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely up to 50 lbs. Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance. Comfortable with prolonged glove wear due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens. One or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient–facing role is helpful. Location & Compensation Location: USA – KS – Lenexa Starting hourly wage: $17.00 (may vary based on local wage requirements).
