Travel Rehabilitation RNFusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Rehabilitation RN for a 13 week travel assignment in Reston, VA. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing assessments, implementing care plans, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to help patients regain optimal physical, functional, and emotional well-being. The Rehab RN demonstrates advanced clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to patient-centered care and safety.Essential Work Functions:Completes nursing assessment of patients on the unit and documents appropriately into patient recordsPrepares patients for surgery, including educating them about procedures and post-operative careCoordinates and provides holistic patient care, including mobility support, rehabilitation exercises, and activities of daily living (ADLs), while ensuring adherence to individualized care plansMonitors and evaluates patients' responses to therapeutic interventions, documenting progress and communicating any deviations or concerns to the interdisciplinary teamSafely administers prescribed medications and treatments ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety protocolsMaintains a clean, organized environment and ensures rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies and equipment to support rehabilitation careAssists with safe patient transport to and from therapy sessions, diagnostic procedures, or other care areas as neededPerforms other duties as assigned within the scope of practiceAdheres to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standardsRequired Essential Skills:Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is requiredAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bendingInterpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
