Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect any underlying eye conditions. Prescribe corrective lenses or medications as needed. Perform specialized tests to evaluate depth perception, color vision, and peripheral vision. Diagnose and manage conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy. Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries. Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular eye exams. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Experience Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and optical principles Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and aseptic techniques Proficiency in electronic health record systems and medical coding Understanding of medical terminology, particularly in the field of ophthalmology Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality Joining our team as an Optometrist offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients while working in a supportive environment that values professional growth and development.
