About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed short stay/observation unit managing conditions such as anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, and pre/post-op urology and GI cases with an average patient stay of up to 48 hours
• Administer and monitor cardiac and other drips including Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Insulin, and Heparin
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips; complete an EKG exam during the compliance process
• Manage a high volume of admissions and discharges while maintaining a 1:4 patient ratio
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, including IMC and CTU units
• Document accurately and efficiently using EPIC ; collaborate with team and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient experience

• Active Wisconsin RN License required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• NIHSS certification highly preferred
• Background in observation, medical-surgical, or telemetry units preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt positively to frequent changes throughout a shift
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with a resilient, team-oriented approach

• Expected 48 hours per week with overtime paid after 48 hours, offering strong earning potential for experienced travel nurses
