Profession: Allied Level 2 CT Tech Specialty: Exception: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x10.0 Hours per Shift: Wednesday 7:30 am - 10:00 pm; Thursday 7:30 am - 10:00 pm; Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm; on call/callback and holidays as needed

Experience: Two years of CT experience License: NYS Radiologic Technology license (must obtain prior to starting) Certifications: ARRT, BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) Must-Have: HCPs currently registered in NYS will be required to have injection therapy certification stated on their license upon submission. Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology. Maintain certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Level 1 Trauma Center experience

Description: Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan. Strictly adhere to department policy and procedures for patient safety. Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable. Insert IVs when necessary for the test. Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility. Utilize safe patient handling techniques. Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components. Ensure identifying images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion. Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility. Effective written and verbal communication skills are required. A patient and compassionate disposition is essential. Team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment. Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment is preferred. Injection certification preferred, must be willing to complete during orientation process.
