Remote BookkeeperArctoris, a leading biotechnology company, is seeking a meticulous and organised Remote Bookkeeper to join our growing finance team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission of accelerating drug discovery through robotics, AI, and data science. We are offering this position with both Part-Time and Full-Time options available to suit the right candidate. The successful individual will be responsible for maintaining our financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. This is a fully remote role with a competitive salary of $25 - $35 USD per hour.ResponsibilitiesAccurately record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, payments, and expense claims in a timely manner.Perform monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.Maintain the general ledger and all supporting financial records.Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements.Support the finance team with month-end and year-end closing procedures.Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and regulations.Liaise with other departments to resolve financial queries and discrepancies.QualificationsProven experience working as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.Strong proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks.A solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and best accounting practices.Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Strong written and verbal communication skills.The ability to work independently and proactively in a remote setting.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Desirable:A relevant qualification (e.g., AAT) or a degree in Accounting or Finance.Experience working within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or technology sectors.Familiarity with both UK and US accounting standards would be a significant advantage.BenefitsA competitive hourly wage and flexible working hours.The opportunity to work fully remotely.The chance to be part of a pioneering company at the forefront of biotechnology research.A collaborative and supportive international team culture.For full-time employees, a comprehensive benefits package is available.
