Travel Physical Therapist - $1,875 per week

Job Title and Location Travel Physical Therapist – Sun City, Arizona. 13‑week assignment starting ASAP. Job Details Duration: 13 weeks | Shift: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week | Employment Type: Travel Physical Therapist (PT) Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimize treatment outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, injury‑prevention strategies, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Engage in quality‑assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued patient progress in community or home‑based settings. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with Arizona state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Proficient in PC skills, ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions. Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills. English language reading, writing, and verbal communication proficiency. Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Experience in therapy, but new graduates are welcome. Additional certifications or licenses may be required for this position. Essential Skills and Abilities Physical: Ability to remain stationary, move equipment up to 100 lbs, push, pull, bend, and maintain fine manipulation skills. Interpersonal: Ability to work with a variety of personnel and maintain a positive attitude. Technical/Motor: Ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and assist with procedures or equipment. Mental: Ability to cope with frequent contact with public and customers, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision occasionally, and maintain concentration on detail.
