Job Details Job Location: Fox Run Golf Course - Yankton, SD 57078 Position Concept The Assistant Golf Professional will be an ambassador for GreatLIFE by providing world class levels of customer service to both members and guests. Supervision This position is supervised by and coordinates with: GM/Head Golf Professional. Specific Responsibilities Assist in hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling of staff to maintain service standards in all golf operations – Pro Shop Staff, Player Assistants, Outside Service Staff Work closely with the lead on schedules for leagues, golf tournaments, and daily operations Proactively manage daily work to ensure team member accountability Coordinate with golf shop staff and player assistant staff for daily functions Assist with tournament operations Assist with junior programming Assist with league organization Assist with on‑course assistance as requested Assist teammates to ensure the highest quality of member and guest service Greet all members and guests in a professional and friendly manner Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage Assist in the oversight of a profitable merchandise concession aligned with customer demographics Oversee and enforce golf shop operations policies, procedures, controls, and fee structures to safeguard assets, inventory, and resources Maintain accurate counts on tee sheet and in the point‑of‑sale system to increase rounds of golf and golf operations revenue Knowledge, Skills and Traits Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations Fundamental supervisory practices and principles Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the expected behavior and work ethic Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills Self‑motivated with a desire to promote and market Service‑ and customer‑focused attitude Experience in written and oral business communications Remain up‑to‑date on customer relationship management tactics and strategies Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community Remain up‑to‑date on Golf Genius software Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 40 pounds PGA Apprentice in the PGA PGM Program preferred Preferred experience working in a golf operation Compensation and Benefits Personal and professional development PGM Education Assistance Reimbursement Club Vendor Options Free GreatLIFE Membership Discounts on merchandise, food, beverage and services Competitive salary based on experience Partner Facility privileges Cash flow sharing opportunities Full‑time employment PTO 401K with company match Insurance (Health, Dental, Vision and Supplemental) with company contribution #J-18808-Ljbffr GreatLIFE Golf & Fitness Club
