Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a Days shift assignment requiring active ARRT certification and 24 months of recent Cath Lab experience.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab unit at a hospital facility
- Days shift, 4x10s, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday with a random day off during the week
- Holiday rotation includes 1 night per week and every 3rd weekend (7:30 PM Friday through 7 AM Monday)
- Weekend requirements include call schedule and occasional assigned cases
- On-call responsibilities required 1 night per week and every 3rd weekend
- Must be willing to float across all Des Moines campuses to like units
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license (Iowa single-state or compact license required, compact license does not satisfy this requirement)
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Active ARRT certification required
- RCIS certificate preferred
- 24 months minimum current Cath Lab/Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
- Travel experience within the previous 18 months required
- Scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Structural heart experience highly preferred
- EP and Interventional Radiology experience preferred
- Peripheral vascular experience preferred
- Willingness to take call required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Professional reference from a supervisor/manager within the past 24 months preferred
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures as part of a Cath Lab team
- Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license
- Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN) may be restricted from travel assignments in other markets depending on separation policy
