Role Description This Senior Software Engineer (Test) will support the development and validation of advanced software systems for a military aircraft platform. You will contribute directly to mission‑critical avionics and embedded capabilities that impact national security and operational readiness. The successful candidate will work both independently and collaboratively across a high‑performing multi‑site team. Responsibilities Apply technical principles and concepts to develop, integrate, and test software products. Develop and maintain automated test scripts, primarily using Python. Execute lab and hardware‑in‑the‑loop integration tests and validate system performance. Participate in requirements‑based testing, traceability, and documentation of test plans. Collaborate with engineers and deployment teams on test strategy and execution. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline. 5+ years of experience in software test or automated software testing. Proficiency in writing automated tests and using Python scripting tools. Experience with Lab and hardware‑in‑the‑loop integration. Site‑based work commitment (100% onsite). Ability to travel up to 10%. Preferred / Additional Skills Proficient with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket). Experience with requirements‑based testing and traceability. Familiarity with digital simulation (SIL/MIL/HIL) and closed‑loop testing. Proficiency in C++. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Team‑oriented collaboration and presentation abilities.
