Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Accountant to join our fast-paced Accounting and Finance team. This permanent position is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to showcase their expertise in project accounting and financial management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of various projects, reconciling financial discrepancies, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. Responsibilities include overseeing the financial aspects of assigned projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk management; preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for each project; maintaining the integrity of the general ledger by reconciling account discrepancies and ensuring all entries are accurately recorded; collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project budgets, monitor project costs, and identify potential financial risks; ensuring compliance with HUD and other relevant regulatory requirements; providing timely and accurate financial information to management for decision making; maintaining a thorough understanding of project contracts and terms to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance; assisting with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial information and documentation; and continuously improving project accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, a minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting or a similar role in the Accounting and Finance industry, proven experience with ledger, GL, reconciling, project accounting, and HUD, strong analytical skills and attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines, strong organizational and planning skills, and a high level of integrity and professionalism.
