About the Position

Our client is seeking CDL A Drivers for local operations based in Indianapolis. This on-site, temp-to-permanent position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, home-daily routes, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.

Pay & Schedule Details

• Pay: $28.27 per hour
• Health and Welfare: $6.16 per hour, up to 40 hours
• Schedule: Start times vary; drivers work 5–6 days per week, 8–10 hours per day
• Average Weekly Hours: 49.8
• Employment Type: Temp to permanent
• Start Date: May 17, 2026

Job Details

• Route Type: Local routes north of Indianapolis and to Cincinnati
• Freight: Mail
• Equipment: Automatic and manual transmission tractors with 48- to 53-foot trailers and liftgates
• Handling: Light touch; drivers will roll mail carts
• Home Time: Home daily

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL A equipment on local routes
• Transport freight in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
• Perform required freight-handling tasks
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams
• Meet the physical demands of the role

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• 6+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• No endorsements required
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
