Class A CDL Flatbed Truck Driver (AZ to CA Route)

Pay: $79,550.00 - $85,450.00 per year

$50.00 per load fee paid in addition to per mile fee paid

What You Will Do:

• Drive a Class A flatbed truck to deliver products across Arizona and California.
• Make sure every load is safely strapped, secured, and ready for the road.
• Inspect your truck and trailer to keep everything running safely.
• Follow delivery routes and get products where they need to go on time.
• Keep simple and accurate driving records.
• Work with customers and teammates to make deliveries smooth and successful.
• Load, unload, and position your truck safely.
• Report any equipment issues or safety concerns right away.
• Be a professional ambassador for the company wherever you go.
• Pitch in with other transportation-related tasks when needed.
• Work Full Time; May include weekends and some overnights depending on route schedules.

What You Bring to the Table:

• A valid Class A CDL.
• At least 2 years of flatbed and OTR driving experience.
• A safe driving record and commitment to following the rules of the road.
• The ability to pass a DOT drug screen and meet driver qualifications.
• Confidence using GPS, ELDs, and other driver technology.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good time-management skills and a dependable work ethic.
• The ability to think on your feet and handle changing road or weather conditions.
• A safety-first mindset and attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

• Experience hauling packaging, manufacturing, or industrial products.
• Experience driving flatbed routes across multiple states.
• Basic truck and trailer maintenance knowledge.
• Familiarity with routes throughout the Southwest.
• Forklift or warehouse experience.

Full Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Strap and tarp load as needed
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills:

• Proven work experience as a truck driver
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, ELD, CB etc.)
• Ability to professionally maximize the number of miles driven per day in accordance with FMCSA regulations
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
• Valid truck driving license

Work Experience Preferred:

• Two or more years OTR Truck Driver experience

• Prolonged periods of sitting while driving
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to climb up and down and manually tarp and strap loads
