Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is currently hiring a Full-Time Flex Cook to join our dietary team.

• Prepare and cook meals for residents according to planned menus, dietary guidelines, and physician-ordered special diets

• Assist with meal preparation and kitchen operations across shifts as needed

• Ensure meals are prepared and served on time while maintaining quality, taste, and presentation

• Follow proper food handling, storage, and preparation procedures

• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, infection control, and applicable state and federal regulations

• Keep kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas clean, organized, and sanitized

• Assist with serving meals, kitchen cleanup, and closing procedures as needed

• Work collaboratively with dietary team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations

• Adapt to changing schedules and staffing needs to support consistent meal service

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Previous cooking experience preferred; healthcare, long-term care, restaurant, or institutional kitchen experience is a plus

• Valid ServSafe Food Handler or Food Protection Manager certification preferred, or ability to obtain as required

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and special dietary requirements preferred

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on facility needs

• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
