You will manage a team of iOS and Android engineers delivering features that bring new ways for millions of users to discover and enjoy content on their phones. You will partner closely with product, design, backend, and data science teams to deliver polished, performant experiences at massive consumer scale. You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and can help your team navigate a rapidly evolving product space.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum 8 years of related work experienceBachelor's degree or better in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent job experienceExcellent communication and leadership abilities to ensure effective growth and development of team5+ years of production experience with at least one major mobile platform (iOS with Swift/SwiftUI or Android with Kotlin)Experience with mobile application development lifecycle and software delivery practicesSignificant experience leading teams and managing peopleYou have a history of writing high-quality code, tests, and documentationAbility to successfully manage teams dispersed amongst multiple time zonesProven experience in monitoring, supporting, and improving application availability and reliabilityDemonstrated successful partnership with cross-functional counterparts including product, design, and backendExemplify diversity, inclusion, and belonging in leadershipAbility to navigate complex corporate environments and influence key stakeholders and partnersPreferred Qualifications:Experience with both iOS and Android development ecosystemsExperience with video playback technologies and media frameworks (AVFoundation, ExoPlayer, or similar)Experience with short-form or feed-based content experiencesWell-versed in mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, Composable Architecture, or similar)Experience recruiting, developing, and leading teams in the streaming or media fieldExperience working on systems at a massive consumer scaleExperience working with global / distributed teamsFamiliarity with content recommendation systems or personalization featuresExperience with mobile performance optimization and instrumentation#DisneyTechThe hiring range for this position in New York, NY and Seattle, WA is $179,700 - $241,000. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
