Job Overview:

Search Solution Group is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead on behalf of our client, a global tire manufacturer. This role is responsible for coordinating warehouse operations, leading team members across shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment functions, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. The Warehouse Team Lead plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting operational goals, and driving adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, auditing, cycle counting, relocating, loading, and unloading inventory.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound schedules to ensure proper resource allocation, equipment utilization, and workflow efficiency.
  • Assist in maintaining warehouse location control, storage capacity, and inventory organization.
  • Monitor cycle count activities and ensure compliance with inventory control procedures.
  • Manage shipping and receiving operations to support order fulfillment and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure all inventory is stored and distributed to designated locations accurately and safely.
  • Oversee the Will-Call process to ensure timely and accurate order processing.
  • Review and verify warehouse documentation for accuracy and timely completion.
  • Train and onboard new employees on warehouse procedures, policies, and safety standards.
  • Conduct monthly safety and security inspections.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and report findings related to counts, descriptions, and product conditions.
  • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to support receiving, shipping, inventory, and operational activities.
  • Monitor equipment inspections and preventative maintenance schedules to maximize safety and minimize downtime.
  • Manage time and attendance records for direct reports through ADP and participate in employee performance reviews.
  • Support document control processes and maintain current operating procedures.
  • Foster positive communication and collaboration with management, peers, and other departments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by warehouse leadership.

Requirements Include:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a shipping, receiving, warehouse, distribution, or related environment.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) required.
  • Experience with RF/RFID technology preferred.
  • Previous team leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Certifications:

  • Valid state-issued driver's license required.
  • Forklift certification on Reach Truck, Sit-Down Forklift, Order Picker, and/or Carton Clamp equipment highly preferred.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and equipment operation.
  • Understanding of inventory control procedures and cycle counting methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of WMS systems and warehouse technologies.
  • Understanding of preventative maintenance practices for warehouse equipment.
