The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supporting the maintenance and enhancement of the chart of accounts, and assisting with the implementation of internal controls. The Finance Data Integrity Analyst will work closely with business process owners, subject matter experts, and campus leadership to clean and organize financial data, track data quality issues, and contribute to accounting process improvements.Your skills will make a difference.You’ll be working for a university that is internationally recognized for our academic programs and research. UT Austin provides an outstanding benefits package including but not limited to:* Competitive health benefits (employee premiums covered at 100%, family premiums at 50%)* Voluntary Vision, Dental, Life, and Disability insurance options* Generous paid vacation, sick time, and holidays* Teachers Retirement System of Texas: a defined benefit retirement plan* Additional Voluntary Retirement Programs: Tax Sheltered Annuity 403(b) and a Deferred Compensation program 457(b)* Flexible spending account options for medical and childcare expenses* Robust free training access through LinkedIn Learning plus professional conference opportunities* Tuition assistance* Expansive employee discount program including athletic tickets* Free access to UT Austin's libraries and museums with staff ID card* Free rides on all UT Shuttle and Austin CapMetro buses with staff ID cardFor more details, please see: and be authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing, full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship.## PurposeTo provide support to the financial operations of the university by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and quality of financial data, while contributing to process improvements and compliance with internal accounting policies. ## Responsibilities* Perform data analysis on financial chart of accounts data to ensure accuracy.* Identify, document, and track finance data quality issues.* Coordinate with business owners, subject matter experts, and campus representatives to clean existing data and upload new data.* Assist with the implementation of internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting.* Periodic reviews of accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and adherence to UT Accounting policies.* Assist with accounting clean-up efforts by identifying data attributes that are redundant or no longer needed.* Assist with documentation of the accounting chart of accounts and related business processes.* Contribute insights and recommendations to enhance data quality.## Required Qualifications* Advanced proficiency in accuracy and attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem solving.* Experience leading automation projects.* Experience in analyzing large quantities of data. Experience analyzing and documenting business requirements, workflows, rules and processes.* Experience with data analytic and reporting programs (e.g. Power BI, Cognos, Tableau) and/or SQL.* Strong proficiency with analytical tools, including Microsoft Excel.*Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.*## Preferred Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, such as finance, economics, marketing, math, information technology, or computer science.* Familiarity with The University of Texas at Austin’s Accounting system (\\*DEFINE).* Work experience in a higher education or government environment and in a business analyst role.## Salary Range$68,000 + depending on qualifications## Working Conditions* This position allows for remote work.* Standard Office* Keyboard## Work ShiftMonday - Friday (Standard eight-hour workday)## Required Materials* Resume/CV* 3 work references with their contact information; at least one reference should be from a supervisor* Letter of interest**Important** **for applicants who are NOT current university employees or contingent workers:** You will be prompted to submit your resume the first time you apply, then you will be provided an option to upload a new Resume for subsequent applications.
