Quality Inspector - 2nd shift

Quality InspectorThe position is for a 2nd shift onsite Quality Inspector. The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards. This role involves conducting inspections, verifying documentation, and maintaining accurate records for newly fabricated or repaired product. The ideal candidate has a strong background in quality control, has high organizational skills with excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other functions. The candidate must also be a reliable, self-starter willing to assume ownership of tasks and responsibilities. This role will support RTX San Diego, CA.This position is for 2nd shift and you will receive an additional 8% shift differential for working the hours of 2:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. (Monday – Friday).What You Will DoConduct in-process and final inspections of electronic assemblies to determine product quality and acceptability of inspected items.Perform Test Witnessing and Test Data verification to ensure functionality of deliverable units.Review Drawings and Process requirements to support compliance of production items to Technical Data Packages.Interpret and adhere to quality standards, specifications, and proceduresUse measurement tools and equipment to verify product dimensions and qualityDocument inspection results and maintain detailed recordsIdentify and report defects, deviations, and non-conformitiesCollaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issuesParticipate in root cause analysis and corrective action processesPerform administrative tasks associated with file management and material controlSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality2nd Shift - 2:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. (Monday – Friday) – This position is an onsite role.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline and 8 years of relevant experience or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with 6 years of relevant experience.Experience working in Product Inspection, Manufacturing Quality Assurance or Manufacturing Supervisor/Lead.Experience in working in a Manufacturing or Depot Repair Environment.Experience in drawing or blueprint reading.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.What We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
