Senior Software EngineerSCCI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in support of a high performing DoD acquisition program. In this position you will provide software engineering technical support and mentorship for junior to mid-level software engineers. This position is available for immediate hire and located in Dahlgren, VA.SCCI offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability benefits, 401k with Company Match, time off consisting of 2 weeks of paid vacation, 48 hours of sick/personal leave, and 11 paid Holidays.Responsibilities:Provide Software Engineering technical supportProvided mentorship for Jr – Mid Software EngineersSupport software engineering code – design reviewsPerform requirements assessments and requirements decompositionCode to model system behavior through functional flows and functional descriptionsDevelop and brief software engineering presentations and reportsQualifications:Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an Active Secret Security ClearanceA Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline or equivalent experience in lieu of degreeTen (10) years general experience in DoD System Engineering processes in a rapid development environment with demonstrated shipboard expertise and resultsFive (5) years of specialized experience with Navy or Joint systemsHas demonstrated understanding of technical aspects required to develop large complex software intensive systems, post-delivery supportExperience with systems engineering and work management toolFive (5) years of experience in at least one major weapons system development program supporting any of the following areas:System design parametersConcepts operationPerformance analysisTest and evaluationPost-delivery supportSCCI is committed to providing a comprehensive and competitive benefits package to meet the needs of employees and their families.
