Smt Machine Operator

Job Description

The SMT Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines to ensure efficient and high-quality production. This role involves monitoring machine performance, conducting quality inspections, performing basic maintenance, and following safety protocols. Operators work individually, typically on night or second shifts, handling various SMT machines including standard, mixed models, and AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) machines.

Responsibilities

Set up SMT machines for production runs according to specifications
Monitor machine operation to ensure continuous production and product quality
Conduct quality inspections on finished products to meet specifications
Perform basic cleaning and maintenance checks on machines
Handle materials required for machine operation efficiently
Report production data and machine performance accurately
Comply with safety guidelines and protocols during all operations

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years experience in machine operation
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and mechanical aptitude
Experience with quality control and safety standards
Strong troubleshooting and time management skills
Attention to detail in all aspects of work
