Vascor is offering you the opportunity to join our team where you will become an asset to the service we deliver to our customers every day. We are looking for a full-time Driveaway Shuttle Driver/Porter to assist with delivering customer vehicles to various locations. This position is for 2nd shift hours are 7:00 pm -5:30 am.

Position Responsibilities:

• Ability to drive an automatic and standard transmission vehicle.
• Work in all weather conditions, including rain and snow.
• Transport new vehicles on public roads (from one yard compound to another).
• Strong focus on safety and alertness.
• Variety of work driving many types of cars and models.
• Perform inspections on vehicles prior to moving them to ensure all damage is noted and reported to the Van Lead.
• Alert Van Lead of any damages and unusual or reoccurring faults with vehicles.
• Responsible for all VASCOR-assigned equipment. (In Transit Plates and Placards)
• Adhere to all Rules of the Road, which includes obedience of all speed limits.
• While in the VASCOR storage yards, comply with all safety-related recommendations.
• Advise Van Lead if a vehicle is low on gas, has a flat tire, or has dead batteries.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:

Education:

• Prefer High School Diploma or GED.

Training:

• Training will be provided on the job.

Skills:

• Basic driving skills

Experience:

• Must have a valid operator's license
• Have a minimum of 5 years of driving experience
• Acceptable driving record

• Must be able to understand and adhere to the communication and facility processes of both internal and external customers.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Lifting to 25 lbs. 1-3 hrs. Throughout the day.
• Standing 6-8 hours/day.
• Walking, 6-8 hrs./day.
• Reach above shoulder level 1-3 hrs./day.
• Bend, Stoop, Squat, and or twist-Repeatedly throughout day.

Environmental:

• May be exposed to excessive noise depending on job location and operations in progress.
• Will be working around moving machinery and equipment daily.
• May be exposed to marked changes in temperature and /or humidity.
• May be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, radiation, chemical depending on the work location.
• Potentially walks on uneven ground.
