Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Remittance Processing Specialist to join our overnight banking operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating high-speed imaging and extraction equipment (specifically OPEX Falcon and OPEX-150 machines) to process checks and remittances. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processing while adhering to strict banking guidelines and security protocols. Shift & Business Hours Sundays through Thursdays: 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM (or 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM, depending on operational needs). Shifts operate until the completion of the daily workflow. Overtime may be required based on volume. Compensation Hourly rate: $18.99 – $19.00 per hour Responsibilities Operate imaging and extraction equipment (OPEX Falcon and OPEX-150) to scan processed work and ensure output accuracy. Prepare batches by extracting checks, payments, and remittance documents from envelopes. Verify the negotiability of checks per customer‑specific instructions. Balance and reconcile paper documentation. Maintain high site productivity and quality standards in a fast‑paced production environment driven by deadlines and quotas. Ensure full compliance with customer and bank guidelines regarding operations, internal auditing, security, and general practices. Contribute to meeting overarching team goals and metrics while managing individual daily responsibilities. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: Previous experience in remittance processing, lockbox, or general banking operations is highly preferred. Technical Skills: Intermediate computer skills required; proficiency or ability to quickly learn various processing modes and department equipment. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze, comprehend, and execute clients' standard operating procedures (SOPs) and specific instructions. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, open‑mindedness, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Physical Demands: Excellent hand‑eye coordination; ability to sit and stand for extended periods; ability to lift and carry up to 15–20 pounds safely. Education: No degree required.
