As a member of our team, you would be enabled to: Perform routine and specialized tests in your assigned CAP and NYS accredited, high quality laboratory. Monitor lab processes while verifying results, in a timely manner. Work alongside an experienced team that is built around integration and automation, focused on collaboration and efficiency. With six (6) years' experience, you may, in the absence of the supervisor, direct daily activities of their section according to UHS Hospitals', Laboratory and Departmental Policies and Procedures, NYSDOH, CDC, and UHSH Infection Control Policies and Procedures. Education/Experience: Clinical Laboratory Technician Minimum Requirements: Associate degree in clinical laboratory technology or equivalent (NYS Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician). Clinical Laboratory Technologist Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory technology or equivalent. (Grandfathered NYS Licensed CLT). Preferred: One (1) year experience working in a clinical laboratory. License/Certification: Clinical Laboratory Technician Minimum Requirements: NYS Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician Clinical Laboratory Technologist Minimum Requirements: NYS Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist. Preferred: ASCP Specialty Certification. Work Environment Most work is performed in heated and air conditioned surroundings. Will use eyewear, gloves, masks/face shields, must be worn according to UHSH Infection Control and CDC Blood and Body Fluids Policies and Procedures. Standing, walking, bending, reaching and lifting up to 25 pounds.
