Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• AS completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: RightSourcing Program - Carle Health and no current placement allowed at Program: RightSourcing Program - Carle Health.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: Associate’s degree - Respiratory Therapy. Temp Illinois licensure is not accepted.

Unit Details: Provides routine and critical respiratory care procedures under the supervision of a Respiratory Care Supervisor and Medical Director. Cares for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Evaluates patients for routine respiratory care therapy on inpatient units and in the emergency room. Completes assessments on ventilator patients. Obtains and analyzes arterial, venous, and capillary blood gases. EMR charting and charging required.

Shift & Scheduling: On call - none. 3 weekends in 6 weeks; every other weekend at best. Rotation of major holidays.

Floating Requirements: Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between the following sites: Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
