Job Overview:

We are in search of a Gynecologic Surgeon to carry out gynecological surgeries. Join us in our mission to provide exceptional outpatient care by utilizing cutting-edge advancements and sophisticated surgical techniques. Please note that there will be no responsibilities related to obstetrics.

Ideal Candidate:

• Possesses two to four years of experience in gynecologic surgery.

• Capable of diagnosing and treating a diverse range of gynecologic conditions, enhancing patient outcomes for issues such as endometriosis, leiomyomas, and adnexal masses.

• Able to identify, prevent, and manage potential surgical complications arising from gynecologic procedures.

• Exhibits proficiency in diagnosis and treatment to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.

• Adopts a patient-centered approach to ensure a positive experience for all patients.

• Demonstrates excellent communication abilities.

• Shows interest in Population Health Management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and document patient information, including medical histories, reports, and examination findings, while ensuring accurate medical records are maintained.

• Review patient histories and conduct physical examinations.

• Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of gynecologic conditions, providing preventive care as needed.

• Deliver relationship-centered care that addresses both psychosocial and physical needs of patients.

• Perform hysterectomies and myomectomies for benign conditions, utilizing both open and minimally invasive techniques.

• Conduct diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy.

• Carry out diagnostic and operative laparoscopy.

• Perform diagnostic cystoscopy.

• Execute endometrial ablation procedures.

• Conduct in-office procedures, including but not limited to LEEP, colposcopy, hysteroscopy/endometrial biopsy, vulvar biopsy, and pessary care.

• Communicate effectively and courteously with the clinical team to ensure comprehensive quality care delivery.

• Engage in medical staff educational programs and meetings.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or an equivalent foreign degree.

• Completion of a four-year postgraduate medical training program from an accredited residency in the relevant field, with training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.

• Open to both seasoned and newly trained professionals.

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.

• Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG).

• Robotic certification is highly preferred.

• Must hold a current, unrestricted license to practice in New York State.

• Must have active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for it.

• Must have active Medicare/Medicaid enrollment or be eligible to enroll.

• BLS or ACLS certification is required, with both being strongly preferred.

• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.

• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (preferably EPIC) and Microsoft Office is necessary.
