Pharmacist in Charge - Relocation Assistance Available!! Monday‑Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Pharmacy closes for lunch 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM On‑Site Parking Available Primary Role Preparing and dispensing appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients, leading a team of pharmacy technicians, and managing the overall day‑to‑day pharmacy responsibilities. The role involves high levels of responsibility and requires extensive knowledge. Essential Job Functions Review and execute provider prescriptions, checking their appropriateness and legality. Organize the pharmacy efficiently to facilitate product identification. Maintain full control over medication inventory, stocking, labeling, and monitoring condition to prevent expiration or deterioration. Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice. Prepare medicines when appropriate, using correct dosages and materials for each patient. Maintain patient profiles and the history of all activities regarding dispensed medications. Stay abreast of and comply with HIPAA and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse regulations. Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures. Ensure the pharmacy and its employees are compliant with Federal, State, and Local laws. Ensure employees are aware of and compliant with local facility policies. Direct the daily work of pharmacy technicians, provide input into performance evaluations, and advise senior management of any behavioral or performance issues. Manage pharmacy technicians’ schedules, including advising senior management of leave requests or medical accommodations. Required Education & Skills PharmD required. Current license to practice (PharmD) in Illinois. Excellent oral and written skills. Experience Previous experience working within a retail pharmacy environment. Proficiency in using patient management systems in pharmacy. Minimum 3‑5 years of retail pharmacy manager experience. Physical Requirements Standing for prolonged periods of time. Use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Fine motor skills.
