CRNA/Nurse Anesthetist Opening in northeast Maine

Overview Medical Center currently has a need for a full-time CRNA to join 5 full-time CRNAs staffing our five operating rooms. The OR performs an average of 250 cases per month, including approximately 15 births per month. Our surgical suites have state-of-the-art anesthesia equipment, and CRNAs are encouraged to practice as active independent members of the Anesthesia Team. Hours are typically 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. with minimal trauma. Our Surgery percentages generally average 50% general surgeries (including eyes and urology), 25% orthopedics, 10% OB/GYN, and 15% other surgeries. Head/heart cases are not performed. Currently there are five full-time CRNAs and two full-time Anesthesiologists on staff. Our Anesthesia department employs a Medical Supervision model which allows great flexibility and autonomy for our CRNAs. Compensation and Benefits CRNAs are employees of the hospital and are offered a highly competitive annual salary plus an additional call pay stipend. Epidural and peripheral nerve block expertise. Central line placement. Qualifications and responsibilities The role supports general, obstetric, pediatric and thoracic anesthesia (excluding open heart). Responsibilities include participating as an active independent member of the Anesthesia Team under a Medical Supervision model, managing airway and ventilation, and performing essential anesthesia procedures as listed above.
