Date Posted: 10/2/2026 Location: Camden Rockport Elementary School, Rockport, ME Date Available: Immediate Closing Date: When Candidate Found Camden Rockport Elementary School SpEd Ed Tech III - Resource Room Full-time with Benefits Immediate Opening One Year Position (26-27 School Year) About Camden Rockport Elementary School Camden Rockport Elementary School, nestled in a spacious setting with woods and fields adjacent to the high school, serves approximately 330 students in grades PreK-4 from the towns of Camden and Rockport. CRES uses a responsive classroom structure, has a robust system of supports for students, and features the first nature-based public PreK in the state of Maine. Position Summary We have an opening for an Ed Tech III to work with staff and students in our grades K-4 Composite Resource Program. A successful candidate will be able to closely collaborate with team members to provide small group instruction in the areas of academics and executive functioning, support students in the regular and special education settings in small groups or 1:1, implement students' IEPs, support check in-check out, implement student behavior plans, and support students' unique needs as appropriate. This position works 7:15am - 2:45pm, inclusive of a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. This position is for 189 days per year, prorated based on start date. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with team members to support implementation of student IEPs Collect academic and functional data and implement behavior plans across settings Support assigned students in general and/or special education settings, including the regular classroom, the special education classroom, and therapy settings Support students on the playground, at recess, during lunch, while riding the bus, and during other nonacademic times Create and provide specially designed instruction in academic and executive functioning skills in consultation with the the special education teacher Qualifications/Skills Willingness to seek nontraditional solutions to issues as they arise Ability to build positive relationships with students Ability to proactively manage student behaviours Physical Ability, including but not limited to: Standing for extended periods of time, Walking, Sitting, Kneeling, Bending and Reaching outward Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Requirements Background check, including fingerprinting Maine Department of Education Educational Technician III authorization preferred, Education Technician II required (would be paid at Ed Tech II rate) Special Education experience preferred Pay and Benefits Pay is $23.56 - $26.08 per hour based on experience, within the parameters of the applicable contract Health Insurance (including Vision) Dental Insurance (100% Employee paid) 15 Sick Days 3 Personal Days 9 Paid Holidays (10 if Juneteenth falls before the last scheduled teacher prep day) FSA Eligible to contribute to a 403(b) retirement planThis is a Maine PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) covered position About Camden Rockport School District Camden Rockport Schools is an exceptional school district located in a scenic coastal community and provides a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
