Customer Service Associate Overview As a Customer Service Associate at Lowe's, you provide excellent customer service, helping customers find household improvement solutions, answering questions, and maintaining visible merchandise. This role encourages interaction with customers and supports their home projects. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service. Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise. Down stock merchandise by identifying empty areas and replenishing supplies. Process orders and deliveries accurately to meet customer expectations. Cross‑train in other areas of the store. Prepare merchandise (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds). Guide customers through the shopping or checkout experience. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications 6 months experience using a computer for inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information. 6 months experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets. Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills. Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other necessary physical activity. Minimal lifting of 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without accommodation. Preferred Qualifications 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience. Bi‑lingual skills. Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials). Required Travel and Working Conditions Regular travel is not required, but occasional travel for meetings or training may be needed. Work may involve outdoor and indoor conditions, exposure to extreme heat or cold, wet or humid environments, and intermittent noise. Lifting guidelines: single lifts limited to 75 lbs; powered equipment used with proper training; team lifts begin at 75 lbs where necessary. Benefits Competitive pay ($16.50 – $17.20 per hour).
