Program Coordinator

Chicago Funders Together to End Homelessness (CFTEH) seeks an efficient, highly organized, and empathetic colleague to fill the full-time role of Program Coordinator. This position will provide crucial administrative and programmatic support for CFTEH, a collaborative of local philanthropic partners working to advance housing justice in the Chicago region. This position will report to the Executive Director of CFTEH and be housed at Michael Reese Health Trust, which serves as CFTEH’s fiscal sponsor. The Program Coordinator will support grantmaking, programming, membership, and fundraising activities for CFTEH. Through its 2026-2030 strategic plan, CFTEH aims to align philanthropic and public sector efforts to end homelessness, strengthen the capacity of local housing advocates and organizers, support and catalyze the region’s housing and homelessness providers, and strengthen and sustain the CFTEH funder community. CFTEH awards approximately $3 million annually through its pooled grantmaking with a focus on: 1) advocacy, organizing, and narrative change; 2) public-private partnerships; and 3) responsive grantmaking to protect/defend and build/reimagine key systems. The salary range for the Program Coordinator position is $70,000-$80,000 with an excellent benefits package including generous paid time off; employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance; and an employer contribution to a retirement plan. GRANTMAKING

Provide administrative support for CFTEH’s pooled and aligned grantmaking efforts, including: Maintain funder agreements including reporting deadlines, grantmaking restrictions, reapplication deadlines, etc. Support fiscal sponsor staff in processing CFTEH grant applications, reports, award letters, and payments to grantee partners Manage data entry into key databases for incoming revenue and outgoing grants to partners Offer administrative support for CFTEH’s grantmaking process including, for instance, scheduling site visits, coordinating steering committee meetings, maintaining communication with grantee partners, etc.

PROGRAMMING

Provide administrative support for regular CFTEH funder meetings and other cross-sector convenings (typically 15+ annually) including preparing agendas, taking meeting minutes, distributing materials, and managing calendar invites Upload all meeting materials, recordings, and other resources for funder partners in CFTEH’s website member portal Support back-end program logistics including online recordings and technical support during meetings Provide logistical support for in-person convenings including identifying meeting space, coordinating catering, assembling meeting materials, etc. Coordinate with vendors as needed to operate CFTEH

MEMBERSHIP

Maintain CFTEH member roster with up-to-date contact information Support funder communications including regular update emails, monthly e-newsletter, fact sheets, and CFTEH webpage Provide administrative support re: regular and ad-hoc meeting scheduling, maintaining membership meeting calendar invites, sending Doodle polls, etc.
