Job Description
- Process incoming mail, medical claims, and correspondence accurately and efficiently.
- Sort, prepare, scan, and index documents into the document management system.
- Perform accurate data entry and verify scanned documents for completeness.
- Route claims and correspondence to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain production, quality, and turnaround time standards.
- Identify and report scanning, workflow, or data entry issues.
- Work closely with Claims, Member Services, Provider Services, and Medical Affairs to resolve document-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and New York State regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 6 months of healthcare data entry experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with document management or claims processing systems (e.g., FormWorks, Macess) is preferred.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines.
