Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed radiation doses to patients, following oncologist treatment plans.
• Operate and adjust linear accelerators and related radiation?therapy equipment to ensure accurate dose delivery.
• Monitor patient responses during treatment and report side effects to the medical team.
• Maintain detailed, accurate treatment records in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients about the treatment process and provide emotional support throughout their care.
• Strictly adhere to radiation?safety protocols and quality?assurance measures.
• Collaborate with oncologists, dosimetrists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Adapt quickly to different facility workflows and contribute positively to each healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.
• Current ARRT (RT?T) certification required (state licensure where applicable).
• Minimum 2 years of experience delivering therapeutic radiation treatments.
• Comprehensive understanding of radiation?safety principles and treatment planning.
• Excellent communication, critical?thinking, and patient?care skills.
• Willingness and ability to accept travel assignments across multiple facilities.
