Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Specialist - Accounting. The expected annual salary range for this role is $113,000 - $165,000 a year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Position Overview: This position reports to Manager of Benefits Accounting and is responsible for Pension and OPEB accounting and analysis for domestic and international locations as well as internal modeling of US GAAP pension accounting for planning and projection purposes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accounting entries for US defined benefit pension and OPEB plans including preparation of General Ledger reconciliations and auditor requests.
• Assist in the month-end Pension/OPEB accounting activities including analysis of actual results, preparation of cash flow information, and preparation of forecast information.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of the quarterly Pension and OPEB funding and expense projections.
• Perform year-end activity including plan allocations, reconciling books to valuation, summarizing annual activity for both domestic and international locations.
• Prepare quarterly pension footnotes for 10Q.
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of global profit plan information.
• Assist with miscellaneous projects throughout the year including Government Accounting Annual Pension OPEB LTD data requests, quarterly PBO by country, etc.
• Monitor and understand impact of changes in accounting standards (FASB, IASB), legislative changes, etc.
• Ensure international locations book according to actuarial valuations. Collaborate with GFA Team in Pune to ensure accurate posting of monthly expense entries. Communicate with country controllers and local teams regarding the recording of contributions/benefit payments, expense, acquisitions / divestitures, and other events.
