Design Engineer Join Our Team as a Design Engineer in our R&D Department at Pure Fishing. Are you passionate about innovation and the great outdoors? At Pure Fishing, we're committed to developing the world's finest fishing gear, and we are seeking a Design Engineer to support our Research & Development team. What will you do? Performs a variety of product design assignments in the development of new products and product improvements. Works collaboratively with manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and other functional departments to ensure products meet performance, cost, quality, and schedule objectives. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design products within the documented NPD process and corporate schedule.
- Create concepts, 3D models, CAD drawings, and technical documentation.
- Perform design work involving plastics, metals, fabrication, and mechanical assemblies.
- Execute prototype builds and validation testing activities.
- Support manufacturing implementation and design-for-manufacturing improvements.
- Develop drawings, specifications, BOMs, and technical packets.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvements, and product enhancements.
- Apply creativity and technical curiosity to explore, develop, and evaluate new product ideas and concepts.
- Manage assigned tasks to meet project schedules and deliverables.
- May require domestic travel.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work effectively across departments and functions.
- Ability to interface with suppliers and manufacturers domestically and internationally.
- Proficient with CAD systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, problem solving, and product development skills.
