Maintenance Electrician

Maintenance ElectricianWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to perform mechanical and electrical repairs on high-speed packaging machinery, including printing presses, die-cutting, flexogluing, and packaging equipment. Your role will also involve electro/mechanical troubleshooting, utilizing blueprints, diagrams, and schematics for troubleshooting, and using hand and power tools like volt meters and electrical testing tools.ResponsibilitiesConduct mechanical and electrical repairs on high-speed packaging machinery.Utilize blueprints, diagrams, and schematics for troubleshooting.Troubleshoot and make repairs to electrical panelsUse hand and power tools, including volt meters and electrical testing tools, for repairs.Perform general building maintenance.Troubleshoot electrical panels and install electrical machinery.Essential Skills5+ years of mechanical and electrical maintenance on manufacturing equipment.5+ years of experience working with automation equipment and PLCs.Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical panels.Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot to root cause.Experience with troubleshooting, repair, motors, pneumatics, blueprints, hydraulics, schematics, PLCs, electrical panels, VFDs, and printing presses.Additional Skills & QualificationsTrade schooling is preferred.Why Work Here?Join a new state-of-the-art facility with plans to double in size over the next 10 years, offering significant growth potential. The maintenance team is required to work overtime and often on Saturdays, especially as the facility expands.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $43.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
